Dr. Brian E. Haggard is the Director of Arkansas Water Resources Center and Professor in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas. In 2000, he received his Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University. The Center uses its resources to help address water research needs in Arkansas, where Dr. Haggard’s research focuses on water quality and how it’s changing.

Dr. Brad Austin is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. He received his doctoral degree from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas in May of 2015. As a research associate, Brad is responsible for collecting water samples across the region, managing research projects focused on water quality, and communicating this info through fact sheets and journal articles.

Erin Grantz is a Program Associate with the Arkansas Water Resources Center and has been with the Division of Agriculture since 2011. She completed a Master of Science degree in Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science at the University of Arkansas in 2010. Erin’s role is managing the 104(b) research funding, conducting research investigating long-term water quality trends in the region, and communicating this information through scientific publication.
