Brian Haggard, Ph.D., is the director of the AWRC and the WQL. He is also a professor in the Biological Engineering Program at the University of Arkansas. Brian has been managing laboratory activities throughout his career, beginning during his graduate studies at the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University and continuing today with his research in water quality.

Brittany McIntyre, Evan Jurick, Dr. Julia Rios Gomez (Ph.D.) and Dr. Brad Austin (Ph.D.) are responsible for the daily operations of the Lab. Brad is also responsible for billing and report distribution. Everyone has various analytical responsibilities and they often collect water samples from many sites across multiple projects in Arkansas.

We also have several students working in the lab to assist lab staff and gain valuable training experience, including Gabriel Cox, Anna Grace McCarty and Matilda Rydell.

With a combined lab experience of 55+ years, this team is well- versed on procedures needed to collect and analyze water samples.
